MY Sony RDR-HXD870 IS Now Buggered Will NO Longer Read DVDs & Seems very slow

Feb 2015 MY Sony RDR-HXD870 IS Now Buggered Will NO Longer Read DVDs & Seems very slow. I have opened it up but seems very hard to get into the DVD part so think I am going to have to just sell as broken on Ebay. As don't fancy taking out all the screws.
